If you would like to feel a renewed sense of ease and connection with yourself and others, you are in the right place.
Stressful experiences leave a deep imprint on our minds, bodies and relationships, and their effects can only be reversed in the context of a trusting relationship. This is why I use a client-centered, collaborative and tailored approach to establish a safe space for you to explore your life and yourself. You can expect me to draw on attachment science, cognitive-behavioural and acceptance and commitment therapies, compassionate inquiry, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy) and poly-vagal therapies to name a few. I also offer psycho-education to support you in understanding and shifting the patterns that ail you and that you are looking to shift. I don’t take lightly how difficult it is to reach out, allow yourself to be vulnerable, and ask for help. It shows incredible strength to advocate for yourself, your family, or your relationship! If you are having trouble managing your emotions and maintaining healthy relationships, or moving on from a past experience, then I want to offer you some extra support. The past years have been especially taxing for all of us, leaving many of us feeling stalled in our previous trajectories, and perhaps struggling to navigate the financial, emotional, and mental challenges that have emerged. This can make it feel like reaching your potential is less achievable. I use a culturally sensitive, collaborative, and client-centered approach to therapy that seeks to establish an environment of stability, trust, safety, and non-judgement.
My focus will be to assist you in nurturing your strengths so that you are better able to take charge of the areas of your life that feel challenging. Alongside skills-building, there will be a space to identify your blind spots, or areas of growth. Everyone’s path to realizing their potential is unique to them, so your therapy journey will be unique too.
While no one questions a physical ailment that is addressed when it persists to cause injury, mental health challenges that are similarly debilitating, are less often prioritized, and addressed in primary care. Many may suppress and hide their struggle to function. The only way out is through.
